Flat fees
The fee is set up front, not on the meter
Each fee is for your lawyer’s work on one case, from the first meeting to a plea, a program or a dismissal. You get it in writing before you pay anything, and it doesn’t change if the case takes more hearings than we hoped.
DUI, first offense
The license hearing and the criminal case. A second offense carries more risk and more work, so it has its own flat fee.

Court costs, fines, program fees, experts and state fees are never part of a flat fee. A trial is a second flat fee, quoted before you decide.
Paying for it
How a flat fee works in practice
Can I pay in parts?
Yes. A down payment starts the work, and the rest is split into monthly payments written into the agreement.
Can a family member pay?
Yes. Whoever pays, you are the client, and what you tell us stays confidential, even from them.
What if the case is dropped in the first week?
The agreement says what part of the fee is earned at each stage, so you know ahead of time what comes back to you.
Why not charge by the hour?
Because you should never wonder whether calling your lawyer costs money. Call as often as you need to.
Your fee on paper, before you pay
Tell us the charge and the county. We’ll send the fee and the agreement the same day we talk.
